To keep our momentum going we are looking for a digital savvy, big thinking sales and marketing force of nature to lead our agency awareness and new business efforts. This is a leadership position in the organization, working directly with the President and CEO to dream big and help grow the future of the agency together.

The Position:

The primary responsibility of this role is to drive awareness and new business growth for the agency.

The Successful Candidate:

You are part promoter and part hunter, all energy. You thrive under the pressure of closing a new deal and can translate complex business challenges into clearly articulated digital product and experience solutions. You love to uncover opportunities as much as you love the weekends. You are on LinkedIn more than any normal person should be. You read Wired as much as you read Adweek. What would you really be doing:

  • Creating and implementing a sales & marketing plan that will drive new revenue
  • Establishing monthly sales/marketing strategies, activities, budgets and forecasts   
  • Identifying agency targets for marketing and outbound sales activities  
  • Relentlessly pursuing new business opportunities and industry relationships
  • Leading pitch teams and writing proposals (hopefully lots of them)
  • Representing MJD at trade shows and networking events
  • Manage marketing strategies, communications and agency positioning overall  
  • Hiring/Managing a marketing manager to help execute on overall agency marketing strategies    

You might be right for this position if you:

  • Have 8+ years BD/Marketing/Consulting in an digital agency/tech company/consultancy
  • Have a proven track record of complex digital/technology solution based sales and marketing success
  • Can take complex client/industry business goals and challenges and translate them into clear agency communications and solutions
  • Understand enterprise digital transformation market challenges/opportunities in retail, entertainment, hospitality and technology industries (retail is a big plus)
  • Lead a solutions team from requirements intake through proposal pitch and close  
  • Can wax poetic about creative uses of technology and be able to have high level conversations across C-level digital, technology and product teams.
  • Are crazy interested in technologies like AR,VR, and maybe some new things we havent even heard of yet.
  • Love working on a team, kicking ideas around together, but also excel owning the process and providing results on your own
  • Are borderline levels of positive, energetic and determined
