MJD has built a great core Drupal Development Team over the last few years, and we're looking for their leader. Do you create Views in your sleep? Build grocery lists with Drush? • 3+ years Drupal experience
• Interactive Agency experience would be great
• Experience managing web development projects
• Understanding of agile development methodologies
• An advanced level of Drupal-specific knowledge. Experience with all popular modules. We're looking for someone who knows all best practices, can streamline development, and can make editing content a dream for clients
• Passion for the web and programming. Show us that you've been programming from a young age and love doing it.
• Send us some examples of sites you've built, code you've written, things that will show us that you've got the skills.
• Do you code in your spare time on projects dear to your heart? We'd love to hear about them.
• Do you contribute to any Open Source communities?
• Excellent writing and verbal skills. You'll be running our Drupal team, directly in contact with our team and some clients, so you'll need communication skills.
• Brains. Don't be shy. Do you have a killer college GPA? Perfect score on the SAT? Honor Society Member? Top Coder competition winner? Play competitive chess? Show us your smarts.
• Common Sense: Also called Street Smarts. Just as important as a big brain.

Front-End Web Developer

MJD is looking for a web developer to join us in our Pacific Beach office. Duties will include production of cross-browser, standards compliant html, css, javascript, etc. This front-end code will be incorporated into content management systems like Drupal, Wordpress, Joomla, and Sitecore. You will work with the Project Management, Design and Development teams to produce amazing sites for great clients. Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects while hitting deadlines is a must.

• A minimum of 2 years of experience creating XHTML and CSS by hand (no software cheating) is required.
• Speed of the Hare with attention to detail of the Tortoise.
• Expertise in CSS 1 - 3 and HTML5
• Passion for the web and programming. Why do you love this stuff? What kind of web stuff do you do in your spare time? We're looking for people that inspire us as much as we do them.
• Knowledge of various Javascript frameworks such as jQuery, mooTools, and Prototype.
• Develop pixel-perfect presentation layer code based on the Design Team's PSD Concepts
• Adobe Photoshop skills are essential to success in this position
• Someone that is self-motivated, asks questions, gets things done on time and constantly gets better
• Experience in Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla, and other content management systems is key
• Proficiency with Git and SVN
